Look at a few graphs of periodic even functions e.g. y=1,
y=cos(pi*t), a triangular wave and a square wave with 0 phase, and examine their frequency spectrum in real/imaginary form.

What do you notice? Explain this with reference to the trigonometric form of the Fourier series.
